Open Call for Art:
Art Exchange: America x Italy
Italian artistry has long served as a cornerstone of global culture, influencing generations of creators across continents. Similarly, American creativity, driven by bold experimentation and cultural diversity, has become a beacon of innovation and freedom.
American artists working in fine art are invited to submit as a part of Culture Lab LIC's international art show, “Art Exchange: America x Italy.” Select American artists' work will be shown alongside contemporary Italian artists at Culture Lab LIC in New York City. Negotiations are ongoing with Limen Art Museum, Vibo Valentia, to also present the selected American artists' work at a corresponding gallery exhibition in Italy. More information about this will be posted as soon as it becomes available.
Art will be selected by an esteemed jury and the show will be curated by Culture Lab LIC's Artistic Director Tess Howsam in collaboration with Italy’s Daniela Rambaldi, VP, Carlo Rambaldi Cultural Foundation.
Submission Deadline: January 31, 11:59pm
Exhibition Dates: March 6 - April 20

2025 Emergence ARTIST Residency Program
Culture Lab LIC's Emergence Artist Residency is a developmental performing arts program geared toward the support and creation of new work. It offers artists & companies free rehearsal and performance space to develop and produce new performance-based work.
Always wanted to find the space and time to write your tech-hybrid dance show? Well, this is the residency for you!
Artists should submit a new preforming arts project to be developed over the course of their residency at Culture Lab LIC. Each project will be showcased on one of our stages and presented and promoted as a part of Culture Lab LIC’s "New Works Festival" in November.
Artists retain creative rights to the work created.
We're honored to have these talented folks in our space, and we can't wait to help produce the work they create.
